Windsurfing: Pagham Wind Direction: SW Wind Stength: F4/5 Surf / Sea State: Smooth to rolly Air Temperature: 18 degrees? Sea Temperature: Fine Weather: Everthing at some time except snow. Max Speed: Distance Covered:
Arrived at Pagham c. 13.00 expecting to have to wait for the wind but it
was already "white caps on the water" and nearing high water. Rigged a 5.5
then it came on to rain before I could get out. The wind died and we sat
around in the bar watching the anemometer reading. It seemed stuck at 10
knots even after the cloud cleared but eventually the wind picked up and I
was out for an hour or so. A 6.0 metre would have been ideal but I settled
for the 6.5 and had the pleasure of riding the fin upwind as and when I
chose.
The next lot of rain put paid to the wind for a long time. Eventually the
sun reappeared and a few people went out on big kit but it wasn't really
enough. Some fantastic light effects.
Basically just hacking in and out, upwind, downwind, a few little jumps.
Managed a few dry gybes before getting wet (always on the inside).
Too short for four stars so only 3.
